DR. DONOVAN HANSEN
Dr. Donovan Hansen grew up in west Mesa, Arizona. After graduating from Westwood High School, he completed his pre-dental coursework & graduated Summa Cum Laude from ASU, with a BS in Nutrition. He was accepted to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where he studied & received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Dental Student Award prior to graduation, & was accepted for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty training at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. His residency training focused on office-based oral surgery, dental extractions, implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, facial trauma, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery. He also received extensive training in intravenous (IV) and general anesthesia with the Department of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Hansen has published scholarly papers & textbook chapters on topic s including procedural sedation, facial trauma, & pathology. He enjoys the outdoors, including hiking, watersports, snowboarding, fishing & scuba diving.
Dr. Hansen is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS), and is an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor.
